Lehman was born in Toronto, Ontario and grew up in Vancouver and trained in classical ballet at Canada's Royal Academy of Dance for eight years. She is a vegetarian. Lehman's most recent starring role was in Fox's 2007 action drama television series Drive. She currently lives in both Toronto and Los Angeles.

She was nominated in 2002 for a Gemini at the Gemini Awards for Best Performance by an Actress in a Guest Role in a Dramatic Series for Andromeda (2000).
